Underwater Cultural Heritage in Finland
To get information about underwater cultural heritage in Finland, please contact the National Board of Antiquities. NBA keeps a register of underwater finds in Finland and is in charge of the protection, research and management of underwater remains. NBA grants underwater research licences, gives opinions about the effect underwater constructions may have on underwater cultural heritage, and instructs recreational divers. In the register of underwater finds there are app. 1400 finds, the most of which are wrecks of ships and boats.
