Greater impact for museums through evaluation
The objective of the Evaluation and development framework is to help museums increase their impact by supporting and developing the capacity of museums to evaluate and refocus their work.
The Evaluation and development framework is a useable tool for museums to think about their work in a democratic, innovative and participatory way, where the needs of the audiences, communities and the wider benefits for society are core targets.
The framework is self-evaluation and development tool, free of charge and unconnected to any official assessment models. Its aim is to help museums to improve and develop their operations to strengthen their societal impact. The museum with impact offers better, more engaging and strategically chosen services to diverse audiences.
Museum evaluation and development framework (230 KB) was finalised in summer 2016. The website of the framework is at http://museoarviointi.fi/ (in Finnish)
