Hvitträsk's collection of exlibris

Exlibris is a book owner's mark, which is glued on the first page of the book. They are like small pieces of art, usually designed by artists. The famous Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela designed many exlibris. The motivs symbolize something that is important for the book owner, like his profession and hobbies.

There is an interesting collection of exlibris in Hvitträsk museum. The visitors can become acquaint with them during the museum visit in Hvitträsk's atelier.
