The Myllymäki croft in Nummi-Pusula is a nationally significant and valuable rarity. The premises which have been preserved as a whole include the residential building and a further 20 out buildings. The buildings representing traditional folk building are mainly from the late 19th century. The buildings also have an almost complete set of period furniture and fittings.
The buildings, their furniture and the surrounding cultivated land were donated to the Board Antiquities in 1976 for ownership by the Finnish state. The rest of site was bought in 1980. Myllymäki has been protected under the Decree on the Protection of State-owned Buildings.
The croft is a Board of Antiquities' permanent target of research and restoration. The buildings have been restored in 1995-2001 by following traditional methods. Restoration was supported by the European Union.
Myllymäki is located in Kärkölä village in Nummi-Pusula, near Highway nr 2.
