The Museum Shop on Seurasaari is an extension to a historical country store. In 1871, the farmer Adam Saarelainen of Savitaipale began to keep a shop in his old storehouse, to which a room was later added at the rear. The shop operated in Savitaipale until 1955 and it was erected on Seurasaari in 1959. The Museum Shop sells traditional Finnish handicrafts and ceramics, souvenirs, books and postcards.
