Urho Kekkonen Museum Tamminiemi, Helsinki


Tamminiemi Villa is located in Meilahti adjacent to Seurasaari museum island on a beautiful park estate which used to be President Urho Kekkonen's official residence during his period in office between 1956 and 1981. In those days it was known as the centre of Finland's political and governmental life. Tamminiemi is furnished the way it was in Kekkonen's time.




What's up now at the Museum:


Guided tours in English on Sundays at 2.30 pm. At other times, a guide brochure in English is available for a freestyle tour. Welcome!

Museum is open
Year round Wed - Sun 11 am - 5 pm

Guided tours in October - April:
in Finnish 12 noon, 2 pm and 4 pm,
in English on Sundays 2.30 pm

in May - September:
in Finnish every hour 11 am - 4 pm
in English 2.30 pm

Entry Fees:
Adults 6,50 €
Reduced ticket 5,00 €
(students, senior citizens over 65 years, conscripts and booked groups with more than 10 persons)
Children 7-17 years 2,50 €

Family ticket 15,00 €

(2 adults and 1-4 children) 

Entry is free for those under 7
