Central Stores is in charge of storing the museum collections, and insuring their safeguarding and care in collaboration with the Conservation Laboratory. It also makes the necessary practical arrangements when collections are loaned. Please note: The reserve collections of the National Museum of Finland will be closed for outside users as from 1 January, 2010. This arrangement is due to taking inventory of and the rearranging of the reserve collections and the storage facilities. Requests from the reserve collections connected with research projects or academic studies will be decided on an individual basis. The loans and research projects which have been agreed upon before 1 January will be handled normally. We regret any inconvenience this may cause our patrons.
