National Museum entry fees 2012
| Adults 8,00 euros. Reduced 6,00 euros (students, senior citizens over 65 years, conscripts and groups more than 10 persons). Entry is free for those under 18 years. 1 euro off full admission fee with S Priviledge Card. Free admission on Friday from 4 p.m. till 6 p.m. Free entry with Helsinki Card. Free admission for groups of day-care children and schoolchildren and teachers planning a museum visit. Teachers and supervising adults accompanying groups of day-care children, schoolchildren and students, also have free entrance. Free admission for all under 18-year-olds and groups of full-time students (upper secondary education groups, higher education groups, universities and polytechnics). |
 The ceiling of the entrance hall is decorated with frescoes painted by Akseli Gallen-Kallela in 1928. The themes of the frescoes are scenes from the Kalevala folk poetry epic. |
