The National Museum is open:

Tue-Sun 11 am - 6 pm (11 - 18)
Mondays closed
Please note! Closed on Monday 18 May 2015, the International Museum Day.

Workshop Vintti is open:
Tue-Sun 12 noon - 4 pm (12 - 16)
Please note, Friday 12 June 2015 Vintti is closed 1.30 pm - 3 pm.

Opening hours during Public Holidays 2015:
Monday 18 May 2015 closed.
Please note! Saturday 23 May 2015 museum is exceptionally open 11 am - 10 pm.
Friday 19 June, Saturday 20 June and Sunday 21 June 2015 closed. Midsummer.
Sunday 6 December 2015 closed. Independence Day.
Thursday 24 and Friday 25 December 2015 closed. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Entry is free for those under 18 years.


Free admission on every Friday from 4 pm till 6 pm. 
Please note that the entry to the exhibitions ends at 5.45 pm.

Free admission on Helsinki Day 12 June.
Free admission with Helsinki Card.

Free admission for groups of day-care children and schoolchildren and teachers planning a museum visit. Teachers and supervising adults accompanying groups of day-care children, schoolchildren and students, also have free entrance.

Free admission for all under 18-year-olds and groups of full-time students (upper secondary education groups, higher education groups, universities and polytechnics).

Reduced entry fee applies: students, pensioners, senior citizens and persons over 65 years, unemployed, conscripts and groups more than 10 persons.

Payment: We accept cash, credit cards, vouchers (Travel Agencies), invoicing, Ticket Mind & Body -card, Luottokunta Virike card, Smartum bills and card and Finnish Museum Card.

Invoicing: Registered organisations and companies with a Business ID in Finland can be invoiced afterwards. The invoicing address and Business ID are required. No invoicing surcharge.
